Homeopathic Medicine
Homeopathic Medicine - Homeopathy is a safe, non-toxic system of medicine that gently stimulates the body toward health and balance. It is highly systematic medical science developed by Samuel Hahnemann, an esteemed 18th century German physician and chemist. He was found something superior to toxic doses of arsenic and mercury and bloodletting of the time. The value of homeopathic medicine is still true today. Homeopathy is based on three principles; 1) The law of Similars - aka 'like cures like'. Natural substances when prepared through serial dilution and succussion can help heal the very same symptoms that they would cause in a healthy person when given as a crude, unprepared substance. 2) The minimal dose - Homeopathy works as a catalyst, supporting the body's impressive efforts to heal itself. The belief is that an individual's inherent healing powers are strong and that only a small stimulus is needed to begin the healing process. The homeopath also believes that the deepest healing occurs when the body does its own work as much as possible.  3) The prescription is based on the totality of symptoms.

Classical homeopathy uses a single medicine for the all of the person's symptoms. Homeopathic medications are tiny pills, or pellets, which are placed under the tongue. The majority of these medications are extracted from the mineral and plant kingdoms and actually taste sweet.

There are no known contradictions or drug interactions between homeopathic and conventional medications. For over 150 years, homeopathy has been used to treat a wide variety of acute illnesses and deeper-seated chronic problems.

Acute viral illness in children or adults, pneumonia in the elderly, nausea in pregnancy and headaches are examples of acute illnesses that have responded well to homeopathic treatment. Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD or ADHD), asthma, eczema and depression are examples or long-standing problems that have benefited from homeopathic treatment.
